Phil served 37 years for the Chicago Police Depart, retiring in 2007 as Superintendent. In 2007, Phil became the Executive Director of the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing support and assistance to the families of Chicago Police Officer who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty. Phil has been a integral part in the creation of the Chicago Police Survivors. Phil's continued support and guidance to the Chicago Police Survivors is greatly appreciated.
Chicago Police Memorial Foundation
Since the first officer to die in the line of duty, there have been 567 Chicago police officers who have sacrificed their lives for our city. The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to honoring the lives of our fallen heroes. The Foundation provides support and assistance to the families of Chicago police officers who are killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty.
